1. pcradioshow.org Sept 11, 2013: Busted for being a minor fo possessing pot (an illegal substance). Must understand social web. A 17 yr old young girl in Louisiana found herself with pretty "buds" of pot, and uploaded photos to personal site on Instagram. US Government agents are assigned to troll. They have 100s of key words - Dept of Homeland security found her photo with key words mentioned. They found the associated photo, and looked at photo "metadata", including GPS - and called sheriffs dept in girls hometown. Sheriffs dept sent marshalls with a search warrant, and found the "buds", and arrested and charged with possession.
2. "The Atlantic", pages 64-77 "Why Kids Sext". In one school district/town of VA 75%? of the girls- were using Instagram to send nude photos. The town police & prosecutors were confiscating all phones (100s), & deciding how to proceed. The conclusion: it is complicated!
ENSURE FUTURE EMPLOYABILITY. (pcradioshow.org, Setp 11, 2013): HR people will always check you out on net: instagram, Facebook, to get best, most qualified people to do the job -that is their assignment by their employers. (Dont blame HR people)
Prospective employers sometimes demand your facebook site.
Clean out photos before uploading. use "Download.com" "Dont be stupid- only put on internet what you would feel proud to have your grandmother stand in church on Sunday, and shout out to congregation"
